2. Zeekr 9X flagship super-hybrid starts presale at ¥479,900

4. Hyper A800: GAC’s premium brand reveals its first EREV

GAC’s Hyper (Haobo) premium line used Chengdu to reveal the A800, its first range-extended electric vehicle. SAIC’s all-new MG4 entered the market at ¥68,800–¥102,800 (approx $9,600–$14,400), making it one of the cheapest BEVs launched at the show. The front-drive hatchback uses a 120 kW motor and a choice of 42.8 kWh / 53.95 kWh LFP packs for 437 km / 530 km CLTC range.

7. smart #1 BRABUS performance edition priced at ¥249,900

9. BYD opens its 10,000th flash-charging station, targets 6,000 overseas

BYD brought its ultra-fast-charging network past a milestone with the opening of the 10,000th “flash-charging” station in Shenzhen Longhua. The network now covers 332 cities and claims more than 1.83 million users, with non-BYD vehicles accounting for roughly one-third of charging sessions.

The company plans to expand to 20,000 stations in China by year-end and to deploy 6,000 stations overseas as part of its export infrastructure push.

10. China ADAS goes global: Mercedes GLE with Momenta premieres at Chengdu

A notable “reverse tech export” moment at Chengdu was the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLE equipped with Momenta’s intelligent-driving system. The move underscores how foreign premium brands are increasingly licensing Chinese ADAS stacks to speed up localization.
